Well, I must say, I’m with you on this one.

I would not want my kids reciting that sort of zombie crap.

Here’s (http://www.docstoc.com/docs/10582301/President-Obama%u2019s-Address-to-Students-Across-America-September-8-2009) a retrieved version of the initial document the Obama adminstration put out – my quotes were directly copied and pasted from their pdf, but it is no longer online and has been replaced by a sanitized version.

I may broadly like Obama, but I’m still instinctively anti-authority.

I would not want my kid passively absorbing these sorts of messages about subservience to authority…

…though i’m now wondering if Dan has a reliable source for dems quotes cos they seem pretty nutty. I mean, does Obama *want* people to label him a dictator?

Personally I don’t think it’s the biggest deal in the world, but if I had a 10 year old kid (who presumably would not have hugely developed critical thinking skills yet) I would certainly not want them being taught this stuff at school.

Of course, there’s still the issue of whether people who had just this would want to do an unpaid internship in the hopes of a good job later rather than paid work for present consumption luxuries.
